Body building involves losing body fat net weight and converting this fat into compact muscle tissues. Fat loss is basically a matter of the calories taken in or already present in the body versus the calories taken out or converted into fibers and tissues through training and dieting. At most, it takes only 3500 calories to gain or lose exactly one pound from the body tare weight. This is where anabolic steroids come in, in aiding converting body fats into muscles and providing the body builder with the fuel to brutal workout muscles for maximal gains.
It is a foregone conclusion that muscle size and body strength are indeed boosted by regular use of anabolic steroids. Research studies directed to the consequent effects of using steroids always show varied results when based on body builders. A good half of the studies found no distinct difference in either muscle strength or even muscle size. The other half indicated a considerable increase of both muscle size and strength upon using anabolic steroids. But majority of these findings concur that anabolic steroids are positively influential in body building, and that explains their popularity.
A trend setting Meta analysis conducted in 1984 revealed conclusively that muscle growth occurs only under certain key conditions. For one, there must be Maximal exertion and exhaustion of the target muscle prior to, during, and more importantly after using anabolic steroids. Secondly, the body builder must consume a diet with very high levels of both protein and calories. Most trainers insist on the use of varied repetitive workout exercises so as to coerce maximum muscle effort.
Contemporary research propounds new theories with adequate evidence to boot. One such theory is that supraphysiological doses of steroids, which means that the doses are above normal ratios, have a profound and positive effect on the size and strength of a body builders muscle structure. Every gram of proteins has four calories and thus steroids use which demand a high protein diet, indirectly increases calories taken in. This adds up to more fuel to build up new muscle tissues and expand the existing ones. The general composition of the a masculine body depends on the crucial balance of the levels of natural hormones with the marked predominance of testosterone
Documented anabolic effects of many steroids have a direct implicative on the development, maintenance and production of muscle tissues. Generally, muscle volume and strength increases dramatically with the chemical aide of anabolics as well as enabling fast recovery from muscle injuries or exhaustion after intensive workouts. On the other hand though, documented androgenic effects of anabolic steroids are the emergence or compounding of facial hair, the deepening of the voice, and some as yet undefined disorders in brain cells.
Body building using either anabolic and or androgenic steroids, if complemented with adequate dieting, results to increased body weight with compact muscle fibres. Muscles are well tone and well define consequent to lean mass compartmentalisation enabled by the amplified protein metabolism. Conversely, muscle size and strength is achieved consequent to high intensity workouts accompanied by a proper dieting program and if in some cases, compounded by the regular use of anabolic and or androgenic steroids.
