Testosterone enanthate is a compound with which all bodybuilders – natural or not – should become familiar. If you’re using steroids now, there’s a strong likelihood you are already using (or possibly should be using) testosterone enanthate. It’s the most effective testosterone ester. If you’re a natural, and you may use steroids one day, then it’s useful to learn more about it now. And, if you’re a lifetime natural, the chances are good that you’ll one day experience the need for testosterone supplementation.
Surprisingly, testosterone enanthate isn’t just used for men seeking to gain muscle, or replace dwindling T levels. It’s also prescribed for both women and small children, to help with growth deficiencies. They receive smaller doses, of course. But it works to illustrate just how flexible and wide-ranging the uses are.
Users of testosterone enanthate experience recognizable gains in lean muscle mass and strength. A very swift weight gain commonly occurs – a combination of water and new muscle – and as a result strength levels increase significantly. Soreness, stiffness and nagging injuries often become a thing of the past as the trainer suddenly feels superhuman. Recovery? Forget about waiting until the next day. Users of testosterone enanthate are often ready for a second workout after a nap and a good meal. Their strength and stamina are through the roof, and many of them train like animals as a result.
This can lead to abuse by some bodybuilders. Their logic might go “If 400 mg per week allowed me to gain 5 pounds of muscle, what will I experience with 400 mg, four times per week?” This sort of elevated use can be highly dangerous, and should be avoided at all costs. Estrogen conversion rates with testosterone enanthate are very high. This means that high doses will result in high side effects. Even when using an anti-estrogen product, it’s likely that gyno and acne will be unavoidable, as well as the onset of male pattern baldness.
Excessive use can also damage the endocrine system. Even the most novice bodybuilder is probably aware of the fact that high levels of testosterone supplementation can cause the pituitary gland to signal the testes to halt sperm production. This means if you planned on starting a family, your plans may have to be altered. The longer you use testosterone enanthate, and the higher doses you enjoy, the longer your testes will take to return to pre-steroid functionality. Some extreme users have been faced with the prospect of complete natural sperm shutdown for life. It’s the reason you see so many professional bodybuilders without children, and many ‘working on it’. Supplementation can help, but sometimes natural testes function can be forever altered. Conservative use also makes sense for the wallet. Testosterone enanthate can run between $10 and 20 for a single 1 ml ampoule. Running 250 to 500 mg per day, as some extreme users do, can damage the wallet as fast as it damages the body.
The bottom line is that testosterone enanthate is a terrific compound when used in moderation, and dangerous when used excessively.
