How does one determine the limit of their natural abilities? This is a question in regards to the use of any anabolic steroid that is not often addressed, and one that should be. First off, I agree with pushing your body to the absolute limit of what is possible naturally prior to ever messing with an anabolic steroid. And that comes from someone who is quite “pro anabolic steroid”. But your body is a better machine than any anabolic steroid and everyone should learn to use what they have prior to using an anabolic steroid.

I can’t tell you specifically when you have reached your limit or the plateau of your natural ability as a bodybuilder or when you would want to consider an anabolic steroid, but I can tell you what you should exhaust prior to ever considering any anabolic steroid.

First of all, you need to be honest with yourself about a few things:

1) Do you have the ability and structure to win a local competition without using any anabolic steroid? If not, then you won’t get that much better using an anabolic steroid —you’ll just be a bigger version of an inferior body on them.

2) Have you been doing everything within your power to maximize your natural potential before considering an anabolic steroid? That is to say, have you followed a consistent diet, perfectly, and supplemented whenever possible to maximize gains before bringing on an anabolic steroid?

3) Have you trained within the best of your ability and discovered methods that will help you to maximize your potential before considering an anabolic steroid?

4) Have you allowed your body to recover as fully as necessary to grow and gotten enough sleep to allow it to happen with the use of an anabolic steroid?

If you can answer yes to all of those, and you’re currently experiencing a total plateau that you have tried to get past, but cannot, then you likely have reached your potential—at least in the short term and may benefit from looking into an anabolic steroid. Then again, some people will say that with each passing year, the gains are there to be had, but will move at a snail’s pace and, therefore, look as though they aren’t occurring – something to consider before the use of an anabolic steroid. If you’re ready to try an anabolic steroid, remember that less is more. Start very, very slowly with any anabolic steroid and get the maximum you can out of the minimum amount of the particular anabolic steroid. Don’t just assault your body from the beginning with any anabolic steroid or you’ll have nowhere left to go. Most important of all, whatever you gain naturally without using an anabolic steroid is yours to keep and will always is a part of you. That’s not necessarily so with regard to gains gotten from the use of an anabolic steroid.
