Bodybuilding as a sport is a very good way of staying fit. This is because it has quite a number of health benefits such as; improves bone calcium, improves high density blood cholesterol, improves handling of excess heat, increases a persons hemoglobin, improves your resistance to cold, it gives you an emotional lift, it decreases your blood pressure, it also decreases your insulin requirements, it increases glycogen storage, it decreases the conversion of sugar to fat, it increases stroke volume of the heart, it decreases resting heart rate, it reduces chances of becoming senile since there is an increase of oxygen delivery to the brain, it increases oxygen pick up in the lungs, it also increases fat burning enzymes, it also help you control your hunger, it leads to a decrease in body fat, it decreases stress, increases your level of endurance or aerobic threshold , it leads to the burning of more calories, it reduces the incidence of hypoglycemia, it lowers the muscles dependency on sugar.
Before you use steroids in bodybuilding it should be after consulting seriously with your personal trainer. Many fitness and health experts recommend the use of steroids after bodybuilding supplements have failed to work. There are some facts you need to know about bodybuilding supplements so that you become aware of how to use them. The first misconception that many bodybuilders have is that all supplements have equal effect in enhancing muscle growth. The other misconception is that when a bodybuilder is on supplements he does not need to undertake a sound nutrition plan and training.
Many people assume that it is possible to get all the nutrients we need from food. This is however not possible especially when we are not eating organic foods. A lot of foods nowadays are processed and this usually reduces the nutrient levels of the food. The reason why a bodybuilder needs to take supplements is because they will help prevent the repercussions of nutritional deficiencies. When you take bodybuilding as a sport, the body will experience an increase in the demand for energy and that is why you need to increase the amount of nutrients.
If the bodybuilding supplements fail to work then you should take steroids. However you need to avoid taking steroids because they have the following side effects; enlargement of the clitoris, shrinking testicles, low libido, low sperm count, impotence in men, loss of hair, growth of facial hair in women, coarse voice in women, irregularity in there menstrual cycle, increase in aggression, heart problems, liver conditions, kidney problems and sleeping disorders. Steroids should therefore be used only if bodybuilding supplements have failed to work.
