Chemical Name: Nandrolone Laurate
Street Name: Laruabolin, Fortabol
Clinical Use: A veterinary steroid, Laurabolin is highly anabolic, and is primarily used in the treatment of canines where anabolic activity is desired.
Bodybuilding Use: Bodybuilders typically love veterinary steroids. Their only disadvantage can be dose. In the Nandrolone group, this is similar in chemical structure to Deca-Durabolin, Durabolin, Anadur, etc. The difference between them is their overall duration and effect. Laurabolin is long-acting so it sticks around in the body for a longer period of time than shorter acting drugs. It is so long-acting, in fact, that one injection every couple of weeks might be acceptable; even appropriate. But who am I kidding, right? If longer-acting is good, shorter time between doses is even better than that. If I had to compare it to one of the Nandrolone drugs, I’d say the benefits and results are more like Deca than any other. That means a good gain in muscle mass and strength with no ill effects on the liver and good retention of mass.
Recommended Dose: Dosing of injections (200-400 mg) once per week is what most bodybuilders do and find good results with. It’s a great backdrop to a cycle that includes shorter acting drugs. Its only negative point is the fact that it’s available only in weak doses because of its canine application and the substantial difference in their weight compared to our own. It comes in 50 ml vials, so between 4-8 ml and should be injected each week. That’s a lot of fluid to inject.
Side Effects: Side effects are also similar to Deca-Durabolin. So why not just use Deca? Actually, you should. But that’s another story. This is cheaper, milligram per milligram, but you may have a hassle injecting as much fluid as it takes to comprise a single dose. Some high blood pressure, some water retention, nasal bleeding, sexual overstimulation (hey, what are you complaining about?) and headaches are reported here just as they might be with Deca use. Mostly though, you’ll get great strength and mass gains in exchange. There are no negative effects on the liver with this drug (as with Deca) and this drug combines well with other compounds.
Price and Availability: Available in 5, 10 and 50 ml bottles, depending upon the country of origin, Laurabolin is relatively inexpensive. Expect to pay $200-$250 for a 50 ml bottle of the stuff. But considering you only inject about once a week, you’ll get about a 7 or 8 week cycle off of that bottle. That’s a helluva lot cheaper than some Deca costs these days.
OTC: Any of your Deca pro-hormone alternatives. DermaGAIN is a transdermal formula that contains both testosterone and Nandrolone precursors and is a great alternative to any of the drugs in the Nandrolone family.
Fakes: There are some out there. But whereas Deca, its chemical twin, has many fakes (possibly more than exists within the genuine Deca market) this product only has a few, which is a definite advantage. Fakes are easy to detect, fortunately, if you know what they look like. Sometimes, it has to do with cheaper paint being used on vials. Other times, it is low quality box and label making that will tip you off.
Masking: A long-acting drug will never have an easy time being disguised within the body. This isn’t something you’ll want to take if you’re going to take a drug test within the next 3-6 months.
Effectiveness Rating: As good as Deca, but cheaper, and harbor very few—if any—fakes. The downside is, you have to inject more volume of the drug at a time to get the same result. Still, if you can’t find Deca, this is the “it” drug to replace it. A 10 if you need it.
Final Smack On…If side effects and benefits are most like Deca, then why not use Deca instead? You should. The only real advantage to this drug is that, unlike Deca, there aren’t really many fakes of it floating around. You can’t say the same for its twin, where fakes are a dime a dozen and usually worth much less than that. Also, the price is right. Laurabolin costs much less. If you can get Deca, know it’s real and pay a decent price, you’ll be injecting less of it for the same, or better, effect.
