Miotolan is the product name for a drug known as Furazobol. It’s a steroid that sits in a unique position in the bigger scheme of all things AAS. The drug is commonly used in low doses around the world to lower cholesterol levels. In higher doses, it’s anabolic and can lead to muscle gains when taken in high enough doses. Let’s learn more.
First off, it’s an oral steroid. Like all oral steroids, this means it is subjected to a fair amount of issues during digestion, particularly in relation to the liver and the kidneys. Use of this oral compound would be limited to cycles of 8 to 14 weeks. After completing the cycle, post-cycle therapy would be required, as would a ten week break from any oral compounds.
Its positive effects in terms of building mass and cutting body fat are debated. No major studies have been conducted upon this lipid reducer. On paper, it works to help add muscle and increase strength, but not in a largely meaningful way. Rather, the gains would be minimal yet acceptable. In terms of negative effects, the drug does not aromatize, so Gynecomastia is not a concern. It’s a low potency drug, and although taken orally, sides are usually not a major concern. Keep an eye on acne and hair thinning for the case you may be a hyper-responder. Other than that, you should be safe.
Miotolan is a relatively unknown steroid to most users. Even the official governmental lists didn’t include this as a steroid until 1990. It has a fairly high price tag, mainly because only a small number of people around the world use it, and there aren’t the economies of scale you’d see with mass-produced drugs such as Lipitor.
Dosing should be in the range of 10 to 20 of these 1 mg tablets each day. As you can imagine, that is a lot of pills to be taking! This is a lot of “anything” for the body to be processing on a daily basis, much less the fact that it is a steroid. For this reason, most trainers advise against the use of Miotolan for muscle building purposes. The manufacturer states that 2 to 6 grams of this tablet per day is perfectly safe – but most bodybuilders couldn’t imagine taking 20 to 60 of the large 1 mg pills each day. The digestion wouldn’t be fun, and the side effects of simple liver processing alone could begin to add up.
While Miotolan will never be a bodybuilder’s first choice when it comes to selecting a steroid to use, there may come a time for some when this drug is the only available option. Maybe you live in a part of the world where access to steroids is limited. Maybe you are in-between cycles, and due to legal and financial circumstances, Miotolan is the only drug on your menu. Heck, maybe a case of it arrived on your door unexpectedly. Whatever the case, it’s a semi-useful drug that will add some muscle to your frame.
