Q: I’m new to the gear game and I was wondering if you can mix two different types of AAS in one needle syringe? I am taking Deca and Test, and wanted to mix a ml of each in one syringe. My body is getting tired of taking so many sticks!
A: You bet and it’s something that most bodybuilders and strength athletes have come to do out of necessity - it does get painful to stick yourself so often. And considering the damage that can be done, is something to want to avoid. The only rule is to make sure that you’re mixing an oil and an oil and water with water-based steroids. So, if you are taking Test Propionate and trying to mix it with Deca, it’s not a good idea and you’ll have to separate them. As they say, oil and water do not mix, but it’s more than that. Technically speaking, you could mix them without problems, and many do, but it’s a bad habit. Water based compounds carry with them a higher risk of infection due to bacteria. Add an oil to that and you’ve suspended the bacteria in oil, to pocket into an abscess. At the least, you may have a swollen encapsulated injection site where AAS don’t disperse in the body as they should and you’ll have a massive bump and risk scar tissue - just as you would with numerous injections from loading up AAS by themselves.
