You’ve done your research, studied nutrition and other bodybuilding factors extensively and you’re ready to finally inject insulin to assist you in reaching your bodybuilding goals. The use of insulin is a serious matter. It goes way beyond standard anabolic steroids. You can pin those just about anywhere, and you grew no matter what you ate. Insulin requires very carefully monitored diet and injection and storage that isn’t as simple as hiding it in your top drawer. Insulin must be refrigerated and used very selectively. Here are a few tips to review before taking the plunge and entering a road for which there is no return.
Obtain legitimate compounds
Purchase from a pharmacy. Always check your dates and ensure the product is thoroughly sealed. If you are purchasing insulin from overseas, realize that you will need to receive it in a refrigerated package in order for it to remain effective. Most bodybuilders simply purchase their insulin from their local pharmacy, which is fine if they are able to maintain their privacy or are willing to take the associated risks of buying this product under their own name.
Mix the insulin
Remove the cap and clean the area of the vial with alcohol. Holding the vial upright, inject the needle into the vial through the alcohol-scrubbed top, and draw the insulin into the vial. Remove all air bubbles. They are not deadly in this small amount, but you would rather have them out. Close and dispose of the vial properly in a biohazard bag which will not end up in either your home trash can or a public place. Roll the vial to mix the solution, then label it with a permanent marker. This insulin needs to be injected into your body in the next 14 days.
Selecting the shoot zone
Insulin is useful when injected into a very select group of muscles in the body. The abdomen is considered the most popular injection zone, and the one used by most professional bodybuilders. The insulin is absorbed very well here, but it does lead to the “GH belly” seen on many professional bodybuilders in the last decade. Other common injection areas include the front thighs, the glutes, or the triceps area.
Injection
Get your needle ready. Clean it with alcohol to remove any bacteria which could develop into a nasty abscess in your body. Rub the area of the body in which you will be injecting with a second alcohol swab. Pinch a nice chunk of the skin, and slip the needle in. You may need to consult detailed injection instructions for the needle plunge itself, although it isn’t exactly rocket science. Once the needle is in the skin, push down on the plunger to inject the insulin into your body. Count to 3, then pull the needle directly out. Keep a cotton ball handy to blot any blood. As you would expect, you should then clean the syringe with alcohol then place it back in the fridge to be used for your next injection.
