Characteristics: Lacks a 3-keto group, it is often likened to Stanozolol (Winstrol). But in truth it is much more like Proviron, but a lot less androgenic. Bodybuilders often use it like Proviron, to prevent side effects of aromatization, such as bloating, water retention, increased body fat, and gyno. It is also helpful in upgrading the androgen index in certain drugs, and in androgen receptors, and increases natural growth hormone output and improves glucose utilization for an increased sense of energy and well-being.
Side Effects / Downside: Very mild, if any. Like Proviron it is used as an anti-aromatase, so it doesn’t cause it. But the lack of the 3-keto group makes it a rather inferior AAS, and androgen risk is low. You may experience slight acne on the back, some perspiration in excess of the norm, and hot flashes that come with elevated blood pressure. Some note increases in libido and some do not. Elevated liver enzymes can be seen in blood work if it is taken for too long a duration at high doses. Because there are other anti-aromatase drugs out there, such as Arimidex, a lot of governments and sports federations have banned Danazol because it also exhibits slightly androgenic effects. But like Arimidex and other estrogen-blocking drugs, the downside is, estrogen in small amounts increases gains. Blocking it totally, and over a long period of time, is never advisable.
Availability: Hard to come by lately. And because Armidex, Proviron and other popular choices like Cytadren exist as alternatives, there isn’t much demand for it.
Stack Suggestions: Stack Danazol with aromatizing steroids in the nandrolone group, testosterones, and boldenone since it would eliminate or reduce estrogenic side effects of these drugs. Since Danazol is an anti-gonadotropin, you’ll need to use a PCT of some sort, such as Clomid or Nolvadex.
