Q: I think I either have an abscess or a hunk of scar tissue on my right upper glute. I am a little concerned about it, so I wanted to know whether scar tissue can form quickly or whether it takes a lot of time? And also, whether scar tissue is harmful to the area?
A: The fact that you say it developed quickly is a concern to me. It should be to you, too. I would go get it checked out. Scar tissue usually develops over time, not rapidly. If it’s painful and is seeping pus or other fluid, it is an abscess trying to break free. You need medical attention for it. But in the meantime, put hot compresses on it to try to get it to “pop” or surface, and keep the area clean. You’ll want to ...Posted in: Steroid Q&A | | Comments (0)

Abscesses occur with athletes of all calibers and levels of experience, from beginners to the very top pros. Anyone who injects anabolic/androgenic steroids is at risk.
What causes abscesses?
Non-sterile injection techniques lead to abscesses. This can involve sharing or re-using needles, or a failure to properly clean the area before injecting. Bacteria in the vial itself also cause abscesses. Thanks to very strict government restriction on steroid production and prescription in the United States, the black market supplies the vast majority of steroids in use in the United States. Since there is zero oversight as to the purity or hygienic nature of black market manufacturing facilities, you never know what you’re getting in each vial.
What is the treatment for abscesses?
Typically an abscess will be treated at home by a worried bodybuilder, followed by a rushed trip ...Posted in: Steroid Articles | | Comments (0)

A potential complication of any injection is always an infection. The nature of taking something that is outside your own body and puncturing the protective layer that separates bacteria-resistant from bacteria-flourishing environments is a prospect few can understand until they actually take the plunge - with the needle that is.
For those who inject their bodies with AS 1-3 times per week, infection is lurking at all times. That's why it's imperative to create as sterile an environment as possible. Strict sanitary and sterile conditions help you avoid the transference of infectious organisms/ foreign particles into the body. Protocol of injection, in terms of cleanliness and sterility, is everything.
Types of Infections
There are two main types of infections possible from injections: Cellulitis and Abscess.

Q: I've acquired some gear ahead of time, because of prices and availability. But I'm a ways off from my first cycle and have been getting things together training wise to work up to what I want to be doing when the time comes to use it. I had a big lay-off from an injury and just don't see it as an advantage to waste the gear if I'm not where I need to be. I noticed the other day though, that my Deca and one other drug are set to expire. If they are sealed and untampered with, is that going to affect how well I do on them?
A: Good question, and one that we don't see talked about often. If the "other" drug you mention is an oral, they should be good for a ...Posted in: Steroid Q&A | | Comments (0)
