Q:  Has anyone there heard of the drug Modafinil? What are the side effects and possible doses? A: We haven't tried it, but from what we know, it is used for people who have trouble staying awake but do not want jitters or the appetite suppressive effects of a drug that is a stimulant. It is supposed to focus you and keep you alert, but doesn't present any of the negative side effects of amphetamines, such as increased tolerance and finally, addiction. You are supposed to use between 100 and 200mg per day and divide them up in doses throughout the day. There may be a time-release version coming soon, which would make this one obsolete.  We did talk to two bodybuilders who currently use it, and they tell us that they use it when bulking and take it ...
