A: The expiration date on a steroid package is obviously not like on a carton of milk; it is more of an assurance of quality than a point where the drug must be discarded for safety (though ultimately safety is the key goal). After sitting on a shelf for many years, the steroid in question may not have the same potency. By U.S. standards, a steroid will typically “expire” three years after manufacture. In Europe we usually see this time frame widen to five years. Obviously the drugs are no different, U.S. laws are simply stricter. Q: I've acquired some gear ahead of time, because of prices and availability. But I'm a ways off from my first cycle and have been getting things together training wise to work up to what I want to be doing when the time comes to use it. I had a big lay-off from an injury and just don't see it as an advantage to waste the gear if I'm not where I need to be. I noticed the other day though, that my Deca and one other drug are set to expire. If they are sealed and untampered with, is that going to affect how well I do on them?
