Q: I have heard the terms subcutaneous injection (SubQ), intramuscular injection (IM), sublingual (SL) and transdermal (TD) for years, but what exactly is the absorption rate between one and the other when it comes to these various forms of transport. I know that everyone says that an IM injection is the only fast way to get something into your system, but what would be the harm in using something transdermal (using DMSO), for instance, as opposed to another method? Is it that big of a deal?
A: Good question. We’ll start with a method you didn’t mention…Intravenous injection (IV). While bodybuilders wouldn’t have occasion to use an IV injection unless they were using Nubain, IV injection is the fastest transport of all at about a 95-100% absorbtion rate. Subcutaneous injections are always given through the layers of skin and, ...Posted in: Steroid Articles | | Comments (0)

Transdermal carriers are compounds that aid the delivery of drugs through the skin when other routes of administration aren't possible. These carriers cross the blood barrier almost immediately and make absorption of the drugs (usually narcotics, NSAIDs and steroidal compounds) almost immediate. They are often used by pharmaceutical companies and compounding pharmacists.
The barriers of the skin are important to understand before looking at transdermal carriers because it will aid in understanding why these compounds work and how to best utilize them. The skin is composed of three major components: the epidermis, the dermis and the underlying sub-dermal tissue. The epidermis, which provides the strongest protection against drug absorption, is composed of five different layers: stratum corneum, stratum lucidum, stratum granulosum, stratum spinosum and stratum basale. When looking at all five of these layers, the stratum corneum is the most ...Posted in: Steroid Articles | | Comments (0)

Q: I know that a lot of bros say that injectable Tren is best, but I want to know from you guys how I can try the transdermal Tren. Is it in a gel form or something I can buy, or do I have to make it? I'm worried about messing up good gear, or myself, so tell me how. Is it by using DMSO with crushed up pellets?
A: Okay, lots of questions and it isn't a simple matter. This month we're doing a feature on Tren and you should read it. But here is a little clue for you: Pellets have binders and glues in them that you definitely don't need and that bind to the product you want. You have to find a way to remove those binders and glues before injecting it or, ...Posted in: Steroid Q&A | | Comments (0)
