Q: How long do side effects last from HGH? People always talk about benefits but no one talks about side effects or duration. I am experiencing some numbness in my hands and want to know if that is what it is from and how long it will last.
A: Numbness and tingling are common sides of carpal tunnel more than GH. Compression of the median nerve is usually the issue with what you’re experiencing, not the side effects of GH or the length of them. But, GH does cause a kind of hypertrophy of the flexor retinaculum, which is a fibrous structure on the underside of your wrist. The median nerve passes through there so can be constricted. So it can come from that. But it’s almost a chicken-egg issue. Which came first? Your abuse of your wrists from training and other repetitive injuries (work, etc) or from GH. Point is, there are few sides from GH that produce visible flaws or problems, so you may want to look in the direction of repetitive injuries first.
